11:52 am: so let go
so I haven't updated in a while, probably because I have much better things to do with my time. and while yes I could be doing something better with my time right now, aka studying, instead I'm updating, apparently the impossible has finally happened and I'm bored with internet pool.

so first things first, some general announcements. Saturday April 23 at WPI a tree will be planted in memory of Greg. There will be a little ceremony. I don't know a ton about it, it's being planned by Greg's friends at WPI, but I should be getting a finalized time shortly. So if you want to go put the date aside and contact me for more information. Secondly it has been brought to my attention that some people have not heard of the memorial run that is being planned for the fall. It'll be on Saturday Oct. 8, which is the saturday of columbus weekend. The run starts at the common and makes a loop back and is just under five miles. For those of you that don't run you can sign up as a walker. All the proceeds will go to the Greg's memorial scholarship and will do so annually to keep the scholarship going. Again if you need more information about this you can contact me or http://www.coolrunning.com.

okay so in other news the nursing department has officially taken over my life and/or soul. for the next couple of fridays I'll be at the local nursing home from 12-9 wiping ass and wandering around not knowing what to do. certainly this by itself wouldn't be that bad if it didn't also require two projects, individual and group, journal entries and endless amounts of med cards. for those who will never have to know, making a med card is just copying everything that you look up in a book onto an index card. pointless I know, especially since they sell said cards already made. now don't get me wrong I'm all for knowing what I'm doing, but seriously enough with the busy work.

well while I could complain further I think that'll suffice for today.

01:32 pm: on this day of binge drinking and excessive wearing of green this question occurs to me: so many people hate valentines day because you should be able to say I love you any day and you dont need a special commercialized day for it...well why doesnt st patricks day fall under that same hatred. all st. patricks day is, following the arguement from valentines day, a day the promotes excessive drinking and irish pride things that can be done every day, you dont need booze to be a proud irishman and you dont need chocolate to be in love. perhaps the only reason why st. patricks day would be considered superior would be that it involves everyone, anyone can get drunk on st. patricks day. news flash, in college we also refer to such a day at thursday, friday and saturday. so as you drink your green beer, hold a place in your heart for valentines day, another silly commercial holiday.

on another note I would like propose a day devoted solely to Italian pride. during which everyone will eat meatballs and pizza in excess. I will call it St. Mario's day.

nearly every pair of socks I own have a hole. but not just any hole a hole directly above the right great toe. which would lead me to believe that something greater than poorly made socks is going on. my toe is trying to tell me something. SPRING IS COMING!!!! yes friends, spring when love and flowers bloom making the world a beautiful place. but most importantly spring marks toe liberation!! my toes will once again be free to breath and take in the glorious warmth of the sun. never fear TJ (aka right great toe) you're freedom is near.

11:21 am: disco
recently every time I've felt that urge to update I've been writing in my real journal instead. which while good for my journal is not so good for all of you. by neglecting my live journal I am causing all of you to be extremely bored and inevitably turn to crime for your outlet. I'm single handedly causing all my friends to turn to lives filled with debauchery and crime. and while this certainly has its high points, chicks dig a bad boy, it also has its down falls, prison rape. I love you all but none of you would do well in prison, you're all a bit too sensitive...avoid crime.

so folks yesterday was my roommate's birthday **Happy Birthday Theresa** and we took her out to dinner at Friendly's. good times were had despite the extremely strange circumstances, they had no food. well they had food but just no white bread, chicken, steak, or shrimp. so we all ate burgers like good red blooded americans. but I will never again assume that a restaurant has food...ha which makes no sense but go with it

in any case my spring break is in a week and a half and I'm determined to make it completely disco, but my time is filling up fast so if anyone wants me to visit let me know.

One person I could spend the rest of my life with: ...meh

11:43 am: gar
I'm really sick and tired of rich kids. don't get me wrong I fully acknowledge the fact that I come from comfortable circumstances, but these people at my school are just ridiculous. its so sad to think that they judge human success by money alone. that every action is for our own good and our own profit and that others need to take care of them selves. do we not as human beings have any sort of moral obligation to each other. is it right for me to perform an act that will hurt others just because it will benefit me. as a member of the human race I personally never want to deliberately cause another person pain. and if I have to sacrifice my own happiness for the sake of others than so be it. I wish these people could just realize that you can have it both ways. you can be a good person and care about other people and gain so much love in return. its all about what you put out there. if all you want is money if thats all that matters than go ahead, but I'm looking for greater things out of this life than that. you can't take money with you.

12:27 pm: quixotic
I did a little mood research to find out what the hell quixotic meant...in looking at the little cartoon that goes with it, as can be seen in my previous entry, one would probably think exactly what I did, which was what the hell is quixotic, insightful I know...so folks here it is

quix·ot·ic ( P ) Pronunciation Key (kwk-stk) also quix·ot·i·cal (--kl)
adj.
1.Caught up in the romance of noble deeds and the pursuit of unreachable goals; idealistic without regard to practicality.
2.Capricious; impulsive: “At worst his scruples must have been quixotic, not malicious” (Louis Auchincloss).

and now that we all know what that means I think it would be safe to say that we all find ourselves to be quixotic more often than not...today I have done the livejournaling world a great service

if you already knew what this meant screw you

well shit folks I just made a magical livejournal discovery...apparently when someone comments on my journal I get an email telling me. its quite handy, and 100% wonderful because it lets me pretend like I don't just get porn in my inbox. well actually I dont get porn, damn spam blockers.

but in any case I went on a trip to the grocery store last night because I as bored and my roommate was trying to do work, whats that about. I got raspberry ginger ale, mini milanos, honey wheat pretzels and a renewed love for grocery stores. I don't know what it is, the shiny floors, the rows and rows of random food, maybe its just because I was never lucky enough to work in a grocery store, but in any case I just love going to grocery stores they are always good for an adventure and thats all I'm looking for folks.

I love adventure and raspberry ginger ale

05:14 pm: careful you'll hurt yourself
so its been a whirl wind twenty four hours but in that time I've come up with several very important insights, and keep in mind that when I say important I actually mean meaningless so here goes...

1. I dance much better when people are watching...but dancing alone in my room makes me laugh and is thus much more satisfying...two points for dancing alone
2. supremist is not a word but it was used at least ten times in the paper I turned in today...maybe my teacher won't notice...-15 points for supremist
3. the monks at my school are the nicest people in the world and thus would make excellent lovers...200 points for monk love

and one that might actually be important

4. the only thing that matters in this world is love, it never dies and is always worth it no matter what...

alright and now I'm done...as always keep in mind I don't claim to make sense I just am who I am

11:24 pm: touch light malfunction
the touch lights I have stuck about my bed have started dieing out...one by one. which you may not consider creepy except that I've discovered their deaths at times of extreme darkness. ok well thats actually a lie, but yes I need to buy batteries.

so beyond my apparent need for batteries nothing new has occurred except for my recent lack of accomplishment in that area we college students refer to as homework not to be confused with gonorrhea another common plague on college life. which is the more formidable opponent you might ask.

11:12 pm: La la la I have a journal
so apparently folks I have a livejournal...I know what your thinking who gives a damn and don't worry I share that sentiment exactly. But I know how this works people get bored and they like to read what other people are up to or complaining about and whatnot. so here it is, something for you to read when you are bored, if you actually want to know whats going on in my life call me (978)621-2575 and I'll be happy to fill you in.

Allison wanted my first entry to be about her but Allison dear every day if about you. So this one goes out to you kid...

Today is a day when many fine things will come
Today is just a memory tomorrow
I know that there's some bad things to come
But I'll forget them all until tomorrow
The days are long and nights don't come at all
We eat and drink and then we fall asleep
And then I dream of moons and horror shows
And then I'll wake up fresh and new tomorrow

Then I dream of moons and horror shows
And then I'll wake up fresh and new tomorrow
Hmmmm...

(here's your first entry Danielle! tehehe LOVE YOU - Meg)

Hello ladies and gentlemen... my name's Barry White and tonight I have a special song going out to the beautiful Miss Danielle...

My darling, I can't get enough of your love babe
Girl, I don't know, I don't know why
Can't get enough of your love babe
Oh, some things I can't get used to
No matter how I try
Just like the more you give, the more I want
And baby, that's no lie
Oh no, babe

Tell me, what can I say?
What am I gonna do?
How should I feel when everything is you?
What kind of love is this that you're givin' me?
Is it in your kiss or just because you're sweet?

Girl, all I know is every time you're here
I feel the change
Somethin' moves
I scream your name
Do whatcha got to do?

Darling, I can't get enough of your love babe
Girl, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know why
I can't get enough of your love babe
Oh no, babe

Girl, if I could only make you see
And make you understand
Girl, your love for me is all I need
And more than I can stand
Oh well, babe

How can I explain all the things I feel?
You've given me so much
Girl, you're so unreal
Still I keep loving you
More and more each time
Girl, what am I gonna do
Because you blow my mind

I get the same old feelin' every time you're here
I feel the change
Somethin' moves
I scream your name
Do whatcha got to do?

Darling, I can't get enough of your love babe
Oh no, babe
